Cory Fernandez
Puerto Rican
Donned as the "Young Veteran," Cory Fernandez is one of the fastest rising stars in comedy today. In 2004 Cory made his debut television appearance as a finalist on the second season of BET's Coming to the Stage with comedians Bruce Bruce and Kim Coles. Three years later Cory became the first Puerto Rican on Russell Simmons' Def Comedy Jam. He has since made his first transition to the big screen in the film Don't Let Me Drown starring Ricardo Chivera of Desperate Housewives and Gina Torres from the film I Think I Love My Wife starring Chris Rock.
After performing on the nationwide Coming to the Stage Tour, Cory opened up for the Teens of Comedy Tour. The Teens Tour featured young comedians such as Lil JJ from the show Just Jordan on Nickelodeon and Brandon T. Jackson from the upcoming film Tropic Thunder starring Ben Stiller, Jack Black and Robert Downey Jr. In 2006 Cory performed on Bill Bellamy's Who's Got Jokes on TV One and Jamie Foxx Presents Laffapalooza on Comedy Central. In Fall of 2008, Cory will appear on BET's One Mic Stand hosted by Kevin Hart.
Cory currently lives in his hometown New York City and continues to perform at comedy clubs and colleges across the U.S. and Canada.
